Career summary
Tom Anchordoquy began his real estate career in 1977 as a project manager with development responsibilities for residential and industrial projects. He entered the commercial real estate brokerage field in 1979 when he joined Charles Tingey Associates, where he obtained Top Performer status in retail marketing and eventually managed the Bakersfield office. In 1987, Mr. Anchordoquy, along with partners Mark Smith and Scott Underhill, formed ASU & Associates, Inc. The company affiliated with Grubb & Ellis in 1997, representing the greater Bakersfield and Kern County areas. Tom currently serves as the senior Investment Specialist.  In addition, he oversees the company's financial functions including the accounting department.

Mark Smith began his career in 1978 as an Industrial Property Specialist in San Diego, after receiving his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and Accounting from San Diego State University. Following his return to Bakersfield in 1980, he joined Charles Tingey Associates, where he obtained Top Performer status and Senior Vice President of Office Properties. In 1987, he formed ASU & Associates, along with co-founders Tom Anchordoquy and Scott Underhill, to satisfy the needs of numerous Bakersfield clients seeking local professional representation. ASU & Associates affiliated with Grubb & Ellis Company in 1997 and is responsible for the Greater Bakersfield MSA. Mark, along with his partners, has assembled the premier group of professionals that continue to set the standard for commercial real estate services in Bakersfield and Kern County.

Mr. Binninger began his career in commercial real estate in 1997. Prior to joining the ASU Team, Mr. Binninger was involved in the Finance Department of the Farm Credit System.
